Washing machine repair in London
Leaking, not spinning, banging on the spin cycle or stopping mid-cycle with an error code — most washing machine faults are a part and an hour, not a new machine.
Faults we see most often
If yours is doing one of these, we have almost certainly fixed it before.
Not spinning or not draining
Usually a blocked filter or pump, sometimes a worn carbon brush or a failed motor. Nine times out of ten this is a same-visit fix.
Leaking water
Door seals perish, sump hoses split and pump housings crack. We find where it is actually coming from before quoting.
Banging or rumbling on spin
Worn drum bearings or failed shock absorbers. Bearings are worth catching early, before the drum damages the outer tub.
Washing but not heating
A failed heating element or temperature sensor. Clothes come out cold and detergent is left undissolved.
Door will not open
The interlock has failed or the machine has not drained. Do not force it — we can release it without breaking the door.
Error code on the display
Codes point to the circuit that failed, not the part. We read it, test the circuit and tell you what it actually needs.
What to expect
Washing machines take the hardest life of any appliance in the house, and London water makes it harder. Most machines we see are repairable, and a repair costs a fraction of a replacement.
The engineer arrives, hears what it is doing, and tests it. Within the hour you will know the fault and what the repair costs. If the part is on the van and you say yes, it is finished there and then.
If the machine genuinely is not worth saving — a seized drum on a budget machine, say — we will tell you that instead of selling you a repair, and you pay the diagnosis only.
