Dishwasher repair in London

Not draining, not cleaning properly, or leaking onto the kitchen floor. In London, limescale is behind more dishwasher faults than anything else.

Faults we see most often

If yours is doing one of these, we have almost certainly fixed it before.

Not draining

A blocked filter, a blocked pump or a kinked waste hose. The water standing in the bottom is the symptom, not the fault.

Dishes coming out dirty

Blocked spray-arm jets, a clogged filter or limescale through the whole machine. Frequently cured by a descale rather than a part.

Leaking

Door seals, the sump gasket or a split hose. We find the source before it reaches the units either side.

Not drying, or not heating

A failed element or heat exchanger. Plates come out wet and the cycle runs cold.

Not filling with water

A failed inlet valve, a blocked inlet filter, or the anti-flood device having tripped.

Smelling bad

Food trapped in the filter, the sump or the waste hose. Unpleasant, and quick to sort.

What to expect

London water is hard, and a dishwasher is the appliance that shows it first. A machine that has never been descaled will lose performance long before it breaks down.

A full descale and clean is £72 and can be booked on its own, without a diagnosis, if the machine works but has stopped cleaning properly.

If the machine has developed a genuine fault, the diagnosis and repair are £108 all in, with any part quoted for your approval first.

Diagnosis and repair

£108

£54 to find the fault, £54 to put it right. VAT included, no call-out charge. Parts quoted separately for your approval.

Miele, Maytag, Fisher & Paykel, De Dietrich, Aga, Rangemaster and Blomberg are £132.
