Oven and cooker repair in London
No heat, burning everything on one side, or a door you can no longer see through. Built-in or freestanding, single or double.
Faults we see most often
If yours is doing one of these, we have almost certainly fixed it before.
No heat at all
A failed element, thermostat or thermal cut-out. The cut-out in particular trips for a reason, so we look for what tripped it.
Cooking unevenly or burning
A drifting thermostat or a fan that has stopped turning. Worth fixing properly — you have been compensating for it in every recipe.
Fan not turning
A seized fan motor or a failed bearing. You will usually have heard it getting louder for weeks beforehand.
Door glass shattered or misted
Inner door glass and seals are replaceable. A door that no longer seals costs you heat on every use.
Door will not close squarely
Dropped hinges, which are a common and inexpensive repair on almost every make.
Tripping the electrics
Nearly always a leaking element or damp in the terminal block. We find it rather than guessing.
What to expect
Built-in ovens are worth repairing far more often than freestanding cookers, because replacing one means matching the housing and the aperture — a repair usually costs a fraction of that.
We work on electric appliances only. We do not carry out work on gas appliances.
If you are replacing an oven or hob rather than repairing it, we fit integrated appliances for £125 and freestanding ones for £40, and take the old one away for £30.
