Fridge and freezer repair in London

Faults we see most often
If yours is doing one of these, we have almost certainly fixed it before.
Running but not getting cold
Either the system has lost gas or the sealed circuit is blocked. We test before quoting, because these two look identical from the outside.
Fridge warm, freezer fine
Usually the evaporator fan or the defrost circuit rather than the compressor — often one of the cheaper repairs on this list.
Icing up at the back
A failed defrost heater or thermostat. Left alone the ice sheet grows until the fan hits it and the fridge stops cooling altogether.
Water in the bottom of the fridge
The defrost drain has blocked. Quick to clear, and worth doing before the water reaches the floor.
Noisy, or running constantly
A worn fan, failing compressor mounts, or a door seal letting warm air in and never letting the machine rest.
Freezer frosting over
A door seal that no longer seals, or a drawer that is not closing squarely. Cheap to fix, and it cuts your running cost.
What to expect
Refrigeration is the one area where a proper diagnosis pays for itself, because the difference between a £54 drain clear and a sealed-system failure is not something you can see from the front of the appliance.
We carry gas and the tools to re-gas on site, so where the fault is a gas loss it can often be dealt with on the same visit for the £96 refill.
